The Senior Manager, VOD Sales will manage client relationships and content sales for BBC Studios’ catalogue programming.

Supporting the VP Content Sales, the Senior Manager VOD Sales will work directly with AVOD and SVOD clients to build, avail and optimize BBC Studios North America and LatAm content collections. The successful candidate will interpret audience and content insights, using key performance indicators to assess and reactively refine content sale strategies, build avails and execute audience-building programming packages.

Role Responsibility

  • Catalogue sales and client management for a suite of AVOD and SVOD platforms
  • Ownership and ongoing refinement of active sales catalogue avails, including key content tagging for use in timely launch or content marketing highlights
  • Performance analysis for active AVOD and SVOD revenue share content, per client platform, to inform future content releases and marketing campaigns
  • Creation of marketing initiatives and creative services briefs to optimize content awareness and performance on key client platforms
  • Participation in sales strategies for premium catalogue pitches
  • Internal sales liaison for international sales colleagues, ensuring alignment with multi-territory content sales and avails
  • Awareness of AVOD, SVOD, FAST and Home Entertainment sales strategies to inform and optimize go-to-market strategies for both new key titles and existing premium library content.
  • Business development and new sales tracking for emerging VOD platforms

Knowledge And Skills

  • Knowledge of the US FAST and AVOD marketplace
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
  • Knowledge of the North America and LatAm media and entertainment landscape
  • Ability to act as a BBC and/or British content evangelist
  • Ability to build sophisticated data and analytics dashboards for performance-related deals
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work across teams, departments and countries
  • Ability to work independently and confidently connect with new businesses
  • Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work in an open, collaborative, flexible team environment

Professional Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in linear/digital television sales, linear/digital marketing, or streaming video platform distribution
  • Experience with digital streamer content sales pitches and deal negotiation
  • Experience building marketing campaigns and creative services briefs
  • Experience with AVOD platforms preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation information: $100,000-$150,000. Dependent on experience & market conditions.
